Looking from near where Gen. Johnston died, towards the Peach Orchard. Each flag is where one or more items were recovered. On the right, Chuck places another flag where Randy found an artifact. This area will be cut into to create parking, so without this survey, these artifacts would be lost forever.
This is the group involved in the dig on June 30. We were hot, tired and almost finished when we took this photo. (l-r seated in front) Dale, Kevin, Tammy, Doug, Ashley (in uniform), Charlie and Josh.
