April 26 & 27, 2003, found us at Horseshoe Bend National Military Park in Alabama.
CARHA Members
(L-R) Wayne, Dale, Lamar, Kevin, Randy and Joni.
Of those from CARHA, four work for McKee Foods Corporation (Little Debbie Snack Cakes). We joke about the "McKee" Gang taking over CARHA. Dale is the current President while Kevin is the Secretary/Treasurer and News letter editor.
We are all part of a bigger group that makes these digs happen. (L-R)
Roy, Dale, John C. (the guy that makes this happen), Chris, Elie, Tammy, Heather, Wayne W. and Joni.
(Middle) Jennifer and Ann
Back Row, Kevin, Randy, Tom, Lamar, Wayne S. and Jill.
Not in the Photo are: Frank, Bob, Adrean, Charles and Moses.

Joni found this powder measure
Kevin found part of a rifle like the Indians would have been using.
This one is a dragon but this is the location where the one Kevin found goes.

Tom found most of a Tomahawk.
This is what it would have looked like if it had been whole.
Besides the Tomahawk, a Brass or Copper Arrow Head was recovered by Charlie, who is from the Carolina's.
Every historical item found gets mapped in using a very accurate GPS unit. Here, Tammy emerges from the woods where she had been recording locations. Tom had just recovered another piece for the General Collection bag (Archie speak for junk!)
